An excise official was given a punishment posting and transferred to the division headquarters after an audio message wherein he’s allegedly heard telling a liquor retailer worker to ship scotch whiskey bottles for a minister’s perform.

Within the audio file, which the liquor retailer proprietor has despatched to the Chief Minister’s grievance redressal system, the Residence Minister and senior officers, excise division inspector Sandeep Lohan is allegedly heard telling the worker of the liquor retailer, positioned in Gurgaon’s Sector 47 that six bottles of 15-year-old ‘Glenfiddich’ whiskey be despatched to a resort because the minister was internet hosting a programme there.

The worker responds saying the actual make of the whiskey was unavailable after which the excise official allegedly rebukes him. In response to the liquor outlet proprietor Anuj, the incident occurred on August 14.

Anuj complained that although he raised the problem with the excise commissioner, no motion was taken towards the official.

District Excise and Taxation Commissioner Ravinder Singh confirmed Mr Lohan’s switch to the headquarters in Panchkula.
