MANILA, Philippines — A complete of 925 out of 953 — or 97% —generals and colonels of the Philippine Nationwide Police have submitted their courtesy resignation forward of the Jan. 31 deadline set by Gen. Rodolfo Azurin Jr., the PNP chief.
PNP spokesperson Jean Fajardo, who gave the figures in a textual content message on Saturday, mentioned there can be no penalty for many who won’t submit their resignation, because it was solely on a voluntary foundation, as said by Inside Secretary Benjamin Abalos Jr.
A five-member committee will conduct an analysis of the officers who’ve submitted their courtesy resignations to hint their potential hyperlinks to the unlawful drug commerce.
